The Spike Newsletter - April 2004: Club Night: When: Wednesday 28th April Time: 7.00 pm to 9.00pm Where: Hornby High School Gym What: A great night where all the club members can get to meet each other and play some volleyball. Usually includes some skill development games and a round robin competition. We finish off with a few drinks at Morley’s. (The club will shout the first round). AGM: The AGM usually takes less than half an hour and will be held during club night. Without a committee there would be nobody to organise volleyball for you. Many hands make light work and help keep the cost of volleyball as low as possible. We need people to hold the following positions: President – Oversee the running of the club, attend CVA meetings. Secretary – Organise meetings, take minutes, send letters. Treasurer – Look after club accounts, pay bills, collect subs. Club Gear Manager – look after the shirts and balls. Make sure we have enough, organise to apply to pub charity. Team representatives – make sure your team has what it needs to run. Beach committee members – run the beach competition at Sumner. SUBS: Please keep these rolling in. Remember to pay by 31 May to receive $20 discount. |
