The Spike Newsletter - March 2008: PRESIDENT'S WELCOME Another year of Club Volleyball has arrived and we now enter the sorting out stage of creating teams for both the Monday CVA Competition and also the Southern Zone Competition. Welcome to all new members and welcome back to all present members of the club. To get the year off to a good start we need all players to make their intentions clear as to what their commitments are for the year so that we can pick team members who will be reliable throughout the season. All players from previous seasons need to make themselves financial if last year's fees are outstanding before they begin playing this year. We always aim to make our fees as cheap as possible and hence we expect that all fees will be paid by the advertised dates. If you know of any prosepctive players then make sure you bring them along to the first volleyball night, the 19th March at Hornby High School. A big vote of thanks to Kama and Sheri for all the paperwork that accumulates at this time of the year in getting us off to a smooth start to the season. I look forward to seeing you all again on the 19th and if for any reason you cannot make this first night then make sure you contact me before then to epxress your intentions for 2008. Club Night - Open to all interested players, male and female: Wednesday 19th March 2008, 7.00-9.00pm Club Night - Men only: Thursday 20th March 2008, 7.00-9.00pm Trials/Training: Women/Men (Wed/Thurs) Wed/Thurs 26th/27th March 2008, 7.00-9.00pm Wed/Thurs 2nd/3rd April 2008 - No Volleyball due to Sec Schools Nationals in Palmerston North Wed/Thurs 9th/10th April 2008, 7.00-9.00pm Wed/Thurs 16th/17th April 2008, 6.00-9.00pm Team practices after these dates will be Tues, Wed, Thurs at various venues - your coaches will advise.
